I have a particular preference for essay blogs over headline blogs. I think that Townhall will eventually become a powerhouse if it emphasizes essay blogs. Today, I found Conservative Sense, or more correctly, he found me. When ever someone new comments on a post, I go look at his/her blog. That happened today.
If I haven't also promoted Biga's Rants as another good essay blog, let me do that now.
Frigglesnitz is a good writer. I wish she would write more, an essay a day.
Of the three blogs, I prefer to read the last one because she formats her stuff in an easy to read newspaper or magazine like format. The first two have OUTSTANDING content but tend to be afraid to use the carriage return (my age is showing, "enter" key) as often as I think they could/should.
Big block paragraphs scare folks away, in my opinion. That is the reason you don't see them in magazines and newspapers. This is do as I say advice. My paragraphs and essays are longer than I like.
I'll make a prediction. Biga is already in the top 10, and JD will be.
